Dine - The Best of SF Restaurants
Kokkari Estiatorio
Scene: Oriental rugs, a roaring fireplace and thick wood ceiling beams make this refined Greek restaurant an inviting spot for couples as well as the post-work Financial District crowd. The long bar is a great place to grab a glass of wine before dinner.
Eats: Super-talented chef Erik Cosselmon is at the helm of this crowd-pleaser. A platter of spreads is enough for four to share: Eggplant, tzatziki and taramasalata are served with warm house-made pita and stuffed grape leaves. Be sure to try the creamy moussaka, a hearty homestyle casserole of eggplant and lamb. Finish off the meal with baklava paired with vanilla-praline ice cream.
